Eight people have been released on police bail following a peace protest at RAF Lakenheath.

The six women and two men from the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) broke into the USAF base and chained themselves to its alleged ammunitions gate on Monday morning .

All eight were arrested for criminal trespass under Section 128 of the Serious and Organised Crime and Police Act.

Mell Harrison, 35, of Bungay, Lesley Grahame, 47, of Norwich, Irene Willis, 61, of Canvey Island, Essex, and Lesley Anderson, 23, from Scotland, were also arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

All of the campaigners, which includes, Emma Bateman, 39, of Leicester, Margaret Moss, 56, Richie Rushmer, 37, and Peter Lux, 44, from Norwich have been told to reappear at Mildenhall police station on November 30.
