EAST Anglia-based travel agency Fred. Olsen Travel has marked the start of its 25th anniversary year by acquiring the TravelQuest business.

TravelQuest, which is based in Church Street, Woodbridge, and has itself been trading for more than 20 years, brings the number of Fred. Olsen Travel centres to seven, its other shops being in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Felixstowe and Norwich (where it has in-store outlets at Jarrolds and Thorpe Travel).

Steve Williams, managing director at Fred. Olsen Travel, said, 'We're celebrating our 25th anniversary during 2013 in a variety of ways, and what better way to begin than to announce the acquisition of TravelQuest in Woodbridge, as proof of our continued commitment to our customers.'

He added: 'Customers visiting TravelQuest should notice very little difference; the travel agent already provides exceptional customer service and offers a host of prestigious holiday destinations and products, all of which are attributes Fred. Olsen Travel also prides itself on, and one of the reasons we decided to acquire TravelQuest.

'This successful business requires no restructuring, our hope is simply to add to the already discerning selection and profile of holidays already on offer.'
