Bus drivers from across the region have donned retro punk outfits to reinvent a classic nursery rhyme for a new music video.

Staff at First Eastern Counties buses have recorded a video of the popular children's song the 'Wheels on the Bus' but added a punk twist with the costumes and vocals.

The video was made to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK and awareness of the disease.

The idea came from Cliff Hussey, who works as an operations manager for the company in Norwich, who helped source members for the band named Jimmy Snot and the Bogie Pickers.

It is made up of representatives working out of Norwich, Ipswich and Lowestoft and includes a variety of musical talents.

Mr Hussey said: 'We had a lot of fun rehearsing and filming the video, it also provided us with a chance to relive our youth's and put a different spin on a well-recognised song.

'We have done it to give people a giggle and want to help support the great work done by Prostate Cancer UK.'

The music video includes all the original lyrics to the song as well as a message about the importance of men visiting their doctor if they have concerns about the disease.

First has worked closely with Prostate Cancer UK for three years as its national charity of choice and Steve Wickers, managing director for First Eastern Counties, said he hopes the video has the intended message.

'When the idea was raised, I didn't think the team were serious, but what a great job they have done to help generate awareness of prostate cancer.

'I'm sure our customers will see some of the band members in a different light when they travel with us after viewing the video.'

More than 11,000 men die from prostate cancer in the UK each year - that's one man every 45 minutes.

It is the most common cancer amongst men in the country with 330,000 people currently living with the disease and by 2030 it is set to become the most commonly diagnosed cancer of all in the UK.
