A group of volunteer life-savers have been boosted by the donation of two vital pieces of kit.

Bungay's team of community first responders have been helping to save lives in the area for more than a decade, however, there were growing fears that their defibrillators would not continue to stand the test of time.

However, these fears have now been alleviated, after Christopher Hand, chairman of the Bungay Medical Centre Charitable Trust, equipped the team with two replacements.

Alan Rudd, coordinator of the CFR group, said: 'Our sincere thanks to Professor Hand and the charitable trust committee for this donation as it enables us to continue to respond to seriously unwell patients in the community.

'This donation will help save lives in the Bungay area.'
