As members of a gym dedicated to boosting fitness and wellbeing they are well used to pushing themselves to the limit.

And now members of a Suffolk gym have used their muscle power and photogenic qualities to support a specialist baby unit in Norwich.

The T800 CrossFit gym in Brome, near Diss has created a calendar to raise funds for the neonatal intensive care unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Over the course of three photo shoots members showed off their crossfit skills and several couples such as Rachel Hilton and Zac Seward featured together in the eye-catching photographs.

The calendar was set up in support of gym member Ben Gladwell, 30 and a landscape gardener from Peasenhall who is raising funds for the intensive care unit.

Gym owners Paul Austin and Ellie Barnes decided they would like to do something to support Mr Gladwell and came up with the idea of the calendar and soon enlisted members to take part.

And gym member Neil Sharpe, from Wingfield, called in his photographer wife Angela to carry out the photo shoots.

The ethos of the calendar, of which 300 copes have been published, was to show what the body can achieve and how the gym is a close knit team of friends.

It is hoped the calendar, which cost £10, will raise at least £2,000 for the baby unit.

Miss Barnes, 32 and a former supply teacher, said: 'We are really, really thrilled with how the calendar came out and the look of it.

'Everyone was keen to get involved and support Ben and they had a lot on fun on the shoots.'

Mr Gladwell said; 'The neonatal unit is a cause very close to my heart.

'The gym is like a second family to me and it is all about helping each other out.

'Ellie and Paul have been brilliant.'
