DETECTIVES in Great Yarmouth are appealing for information following a serious assault.
A 47-year-old man and his friend were walking in the alleyway between Exmouth Road and South Quay, near Ordnance Road, between 5pm and 7pm on Sunday, December 5.
They were approached by a man who asked for the alcohol they were carrying, who then continued to follow the victim and his friend and was verbally abusive.
When the victim confronted the man he was hit in the face with a broken bottle resulting in him suffering cuts to his face and chin which required hospital treatment.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed a man acting suspiciously in the area around the times stated.
