The Museum of the Broads was overrun by dozens of young pirates on Sunday, all in search of treasure and gold doubloons!
Under the boiling heat of a beautiful summer afternoon, a group of volunteers organised an activities day for some local youngsters, helping them make pirate hats, eye patches and take part in all sorts of pirate related fun and games. The best dressed buccaneer won a prize, and by solving puzzles and quizzes the young adventurers could win 'doubloons' to swap for prizes.
The day ended with a search for treasure, with the hunters putting their flags on the spot on the map of Treasure Island where they thought the chest was buried.
