Being fair and honest is the secret to a long and happy marriage according to Thelma and Brian Baker - and they should know, because they're about to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary.
The Dickleburgh couple first met in London at Highbury Fields open air swimming pool in 1949.
Both in their early twenties Thelma was a keen swimmer whilst Brian, on leave from National Service was much more of a sunbather, which is perhaps why Thelma thought Brian 'was a nuisance'.
Despite this, within three years the couple were engaged to be married.
The wedding took place sooner than initially planned as Brian, an RAF regular was faced with a potential overseas posting to Hong Kong.
As wives could accompany their husbands abroad the pair decided to marry, tying the knot surrounded by friends and family in Highgate.
Brian and Thelma's wedding photographs show the happy couple in the snow.
'We had everything that day, a thunderstorm, snow, rain, but we had a sunny honeymoon in Hastings,' remembered Thelma.
Due to ill health Brian was never posted abroad and instead served his three years in the RAF in the UK, spending time at RAF Lancroft, RAF Wittering and various radar stations around London.
During this time Thelma worked for publisher Debretts, her work once leading former British Prime Minister Lloyd George to invite her into his home for a cup of tea.
Over the years Brian and Thelma have moved several times, living in Greater London and Hertfordshire before moving Dickleburgh in 2002.
The couple have fond memeories of hosting all day paries during the 1960s and travelling all over Europe, the Mediterrean and Egypt. The couple have had many adventures closer to home as well.
Brian served on Southwark County Council for five years during the 1970s.
Thelma has also had a successful career as the physic and clairvoyant 'Zelma'.
The couple have two sons; Clive and Nigel, and are grandparents several times over.
The couple who are now both in their 80s will celebrate their 65 years of marriage on Wednesday March 29.
