A boy was taken to hospital this morning after he was hit by a car on his way into school in Bradwell.
It happened outside Woodlands Primary Academy, on Church Walk in Bradwell.
Headteacher Sheila Mercer said: 'A pupil was involved with a incident with a car, they were taken to hospital but I've since heard from mum and there are no serious injuries.'
The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed they were called to the school at 8.22am. One crew arrived and found the eight-year-old boy had foot injuries, which were treated at the scene.
He was then taken to James Paget University Hospital to be checked over.
Mrs Mercer added: 'The whole school community were amazing this morning, the staff, parents and children all did everything right and it went like clockwork.'
