A Bingo and Raffle club have presented a cheque to nurses after raising �1000 for Quidenham Hospice.

The Mulbarton Social Club's Sunday night Bingo and Raffle, is now in its second year.

The evening, which is held fortnightly, raised �1000 last year for the East Anglia's Children's Hospice at Quidenham and presented a cheque to Macmillan Nurses.

Jenny Kirby for the group said: 'We would like to thank all the small businesses and players at our bingo for all the raffle prizes they donated. Without them we could never have raised so much money for these good causes.'

The next Bingo and Raffle night will be held on April 17 and fortnightly thereafter.

There will also be a special Easter Sunday Bingo on April 24.

There is no age limit and parents can bring their children along especially in the term breaks.
