A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving as a cyclist remains in a critical condition in Addenbroke's hospital.
The arrest came after a crash in Norwich yesterday (Tuesday), at around 4pm, when a black Audi Q7 and a cyclist collided on Aylsham Road, close to Barclays bank and Glenmore Gardens turning.
The rider of the bicycle was taken to Addenbrooke's hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in a critical condition.
A man in his 30s, from the Norwich area, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, drug driving and dangerous driving. He was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre where he awaits questioning.
