Attleborough town centre was transformed into a festive spectacular today as the town's lights were switched on.
The annual Christmas Carnival was hailed as the best ever, with hundreds of people turning out to see mayor Tony Perkins turn the town lights on.
That was only once Father Christmas had made a grand entrance on his sleigh in the early afternoon.
There was also entertainment from the Salvation Army band and carols from Attleborough Infant School.
Mr Perkins said the event was one of the biggest of the year for the town.
'It's really well supported and there have been lots of people out this year. It's great to see the town at its best.
'It's very much family oriented and that's always what we want,' he said.
