Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted burglary at West Somerton.
It took place on Sunday, September 8 at aboout 8.50pm at a property on Horsey Road.
When the residents returned home and switched on the lights they heard scrabbling and banging noises from the roof.
When they investigated outside they saw a wooden gate was open and a dormer window was also left wide open.
A wooden ladder, belonging to the residents, was also left propped up against the wall under the dormer window.
Nothing is thought to have been stolen.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity, has knowledge of the incident or has recently become aware of their garden implements being interfered with in the same area should call DC Gill Dawson at Great Yarmouth CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
