a balaclava-clad burglar assaulted him and stole thousands of pounds from his home in Loddon.
The victim, in his 70s, was in bed on Monday night at his home in High Bungay Road when a man broke down his back door at about midnight, entered the house and assaulted him. The burglar grabbed a bundle of the man's clothes, including a wallet containing several thousand pounds in a pair of trousers.
Police found a quantity of cash in a nearby garden on Tuesday morning, but want to speak to a man who was seen in Loddon early that morning driving a blue saloon car.
A 22-year-old local man has been arrested and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
