Arrest after Lowestoft drugs raid

A Lowestoft man has been arrested as part of an ongoing police crackdown on the cultivation and supply of illegal drugs.

The 38-year-old was arrested this morning after police executed a warrant at an address in Normanston Drive and discovered cannabis plants being grown in the loft of the property.

The Waveney Territorial Support Team carried out the warrant around 7.25am and found the plants and growing equipment.

The 38-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of the drug and is currently in custody at Lowestoft police station where he will be interviewed by officers.
