Diversions are being put in place on a busy Suffolk road this morning after an Argos lorry turned over on a roundabout at Beccles.

Suffolk Constabulary were called by a passing motorist at 7.07am to the A146 roundabout at George Westwood Way, where a blue daf Argos truck had rolled from the road onto a grass verge. The lorry also collided with a lamppost.

Police assisted both drivers out of the lorry and they were checked over by a crew from the East of England Ambulance Service.

Spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary Anne-Marie Breach, said: 'They were checked over by an ambulance crew for cuts to their arms and shock.'

Diversions will be put in place at approximately 9.10am while the lorry is recovered from the side of the road. Diversions are expected to be in place for about an hour.
