The air ambulance was dispatched to help a young boy who was taken ill.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance landed at Moorlands Primary School in Belton as parents collected their children from school.
The emergency services were called at around 3.15pm on Tuesday to reports that a boy was taken ill at a home nearby in St James Crescent.
The East of England Ambulance Service were on the scene within five minutes and dispatched a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and an ambulance officer.
The paramedics were able to stabilise him before he was taken to the James Paget Hospital by land ambulance.
