Air ambulance aids man with serious hand injury in Wells

An air ambulance was called out to Wells help a man with a serious hand injury this afternoon.
The medical team aboard Anglia One was called to the aid of a man involved in an industrial incident.
The crew were flown to the incident from their base at Norwich Airport, by Captain Neil Waller, and landed in a field close to Alderman Peel High School, just a short distance from the incident in Church Street, at 1.40pm.
The medical team then attended to the patient where they treated a serious hand injury before leaving the scene at 2.10pm and flying the man to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he arrived for further assessment and treatment at 2.24pm.
