The former school of Bafta-winning actress Olivia Colman has bought her charity doodle and plans to put it on show.

Gresham's School, Holt, was the successful bidder in a three-day eBay auction raising money for Epilepsy Action.

The doodle, which had 23 bids, raised £77.

It was among many created by famous people to mark the charity's National Doodle Day.

A school spokesman said: 'We thought it would be nice to support the charity and recognise Olivia Colman's contribution.'

Her doodle features a bunch of flowers which, she says in a note alongside them, are to say 'thank you' to people for raising money.

The spokesman said they would find a suitable place at the school to put it on display.

Ms Colman, who has starred in television series and films including Broadchurch, Twenty Twelve and Peep Show, attended Gresham's between 1990-1992.

The Norfolk-born actress is also a former pupil of Norwich High School for Girls.

Other doodles were created for the cause by stars including actress Caroline Quentin and comedian Frank Skinner.

Proceeds will help people living with epilepsy in the UK.
