The A47 between the A1122 Swaffham Road and Narborough has reopened following an accident involving a moped and a car.
An ambulance spokesman said the moped rider, a man in his 40's, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital after suffering a suspected chest injury but it is not thought to be life threatening.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene this afternoon just after 3pm and both lanes were closed whilst officers dealt with the scene of the accident, on Monday, May 15.
Air ambulance from MAGPAS attended the scene but stood down after the patient was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
A police spokesman said traffic was diverted for a short period of time. Traffic was back to normal around 5.30pm.
