The A17 has reopened following a six-vehicle crash at Terrington St Clement.
Police said there were no serious injuries.
A diversion was put in place at Pullover Sutton Bridge, and police warned of long delays.
However, shortly after 6pm the road opened to single-lane traffic, and police said the road would be cleared shortly.
Three crews of firefighters were sent to the scene, as well as police and paramedics.
