500 tonnes of straw catch fire in Catfield

Fire crews tackled a large fire in a blazing barn yesterday afternoon.

The barn on Limes Road, Catfield, which stored 500 tonnes of straw, caught fire at 3.15pm and crews were still on site this afternoon.

Fire engines from Stalham, Martham, Great Yarmouth, Wroxham, Hethersett and North Walsham were all called to the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
