Hundreds of hardy souls braved the icy cold waters of the North Sea for the Boxing Day charity dip at Cromer, and a cheque for £4,450 has been presented to the Stroke Association.
Last year's swim was organised by the North Norfolk Beach Runners (NNBR) in aid of the charity, which was chosen out of respect for club runner Andy Kett who suffered a stroke in September whilst out running.
Chairman of the NNBR Clive Hedges said: 'It turned out to be a record amount raised.'
An estimated 400 people met in the early morning sun to take the plunge for the annual event beneath blue Norfolk skies.
With a high tide expected the timings were brought forward an hour earlier than previous years, starting with a warm-up run at 9am before the dip at 10am.
Swimmers stripped down to bikinis and shorts and a wide variety of fancy dress costumes.
