Thurning's St Andrew’s Church has won a £1,000 prize for its fundraising efforts.
The small parish was awarded Most Improved Fundraising Church for the 2025 Norfolk Churches Trust Bike Ride, Walk and Drive event.
The award was presented in the churchyard on Wednesday, August 26.
Sarah and Simon Garnier, long-time supporters of the Trust, organised the gathering, arriving on bicycles.
The event marked the end of the church's porch restoration, adding to the celebrations.
Outgoing chairwoman of the Bike Ride Committee, Amelia Courtauld, praised participants, including Jo and Giles Winter and Hilary Lucier, for their contributions.
The presentation was followed by refreshments in the churchyard.
The 2025 photography competition winners were:
Helen Barber won the exterior category, with a photograph of a red bicycle in front of St Andrew’s, Little Massingham.
Gill Ashby won the interior category, with a photograph of the Harvest Window at All Saints, Kettlestone.
Mark Pfeiffer won the spirit of the day category, with a photograph titled Bikes and Bales.
