Sally Harl expanding Let's Dance Norwich to Norfolk schools

Sally Harl is determined to deliver more immersive dance experiences to schools across Norfolk under her silent disco events company, Let's Dance Norwich.

The former teacher from Stoke Holy Cross set up her business in 2020 after an "unforgettable" trip to the Californian-based festival the previous year, with Beyoncé and Eminem headlining.

"Coachella was definitely one of the coolest events I’ve ever been to," she said.

"My aim is for everyone to experience at least one silent disco during their time at school.

"It can be really daunting going back into a new year group.

"I would like to expand my business into more schools as the new school year begins."

She added the response from children at White House Farm Primary School, Taverham Junior School and St Augustines Catholic Primary School during the last year had been "phenomenal".

"The business has snowballed," she said.

"It has had such a positive impact on the children's wellbeing."

Let's Dance Norwich also works with pre-schools, adult day centres, dementia units and care homes.

This year, the business was part of the Norfolk Libraries Summer Reading Challenge.

Mrs Harl said the silent discos are particularly popular with children with special needs.

"The kids are given headsets with volume adjustments," she said.

Before setting up her business, Mrs Hall worked at Stoke Holy Cross Primary School for 22 years.
