Two East Anglian brewers are raising a glass after scooping a top industry award.
Norwich-based Boudicca Brewing Co and Humber Doucy Brewing Co, from Bacton in Suffolk, won the Outstanding Collaboration Award at this year’s Tastebuds Collaboration Awards for their Celtic Crush strawberry saison.
The 5.2pc drink impressed judges with its blend of traditional East Anglian heritage, locally sourced ingredients, and innovative brewing techniques.
Emma Pinder, owner and director of Boudicca Brewing Co, said: "I'm unbelievably chuffed and it's totally unexpected.
"It's been a pleasure to work with Humber Doucy.
"Our breweries both have historical names and it's a perfect partnership celebrating the two counties’ heritage."
Judges praised the collaboration for supporting Boudicca Brewing Co’s relaunch and strengthening regional business ties.
They described it as a model of innovation and shared success within independent brewing.
John Ridealgh, co-founder of Humber Doucy Brewing Co, said: "It was a really natural collaborative effort and great that it's been recognised.
"Boudicca's roots are in Norfolk and ours are in Suffolk, and that's gone together really well."
The awards ceremony was held at Carrow House Orangery in Norwich on Tuesday, July 21.
It brought together businesses, academics, and students to celebrate collaboration, innovation, business growth and knowledge exchange in the food and drink sector.
Five other awards were presented.
Norwich University of the Arts and Norwich-based BrocStar won Innovation Project of the Year for a complete brand refresh and the development of innovative science-backed health products.
