Six parks and green spaces in Norwich have been named among the best in the country.
Green Flag Awards have been awarded to Eaton Park, Waterloo Park, Jenny Lind Park, Mousehold Heath, Heigham Park and Kett’s Heights.
It comes as part of a scheme run by Keep Britain Tidy that recognises well-maintained, welcoming parks and open spaces.
Paul Rabbitts, joint head of service for environmental services at Norwich City Council, said: "We are incredibly proud that six of Norwich's parks and green spaces have once again achieved Green Flag Award status, demonstrating the high standards we continue to maintain across the city."
Eaton Park, Waterloo Park and Kett’s Heights also earned Green Heritage Site Accreditation, which highlights historic significance and management.
This is the first time Kett’s Heights has received the heritage accreditation.
The awards coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Green Flag Award scheme, which this year honoured a record 2,391 parks and green spaces across the UK.
Mr Rabbitts said the recognition reflected the ongoing effort of council staff, volunteers and community organisations who help care for the city’s parks.
