Delight as Lowestoft Armed Forces Day 2026 hailed a success

Lowestoft hosted its annual Armed Forces Day on Saturday - with the day filled with live music, military stalls, displays and a moving service.

A variety of performances took centre stage at Sparrow's Nest as it ran from 10am to 8pm on June 27.

The day began with the Drum Head Service, which Lowestoft MP Jess Asato described as "truly lovely".

A post on the Lowestoft Armed Forces Day Facebook page from the organisers thanked everyone who came along to support the event.

The "amazing volunteers" were praised, along with the support and attendance of General John Sutherall and his wife Amanda, Ms Asato, the mayor of Lowestoft, Cllr Nasima Begum, Reverend Gemma Frazier and the backing of main sponsor, Lowestoft Town Council.

They added: "Thank you to every exhibitor, performer, veteran, serving member of the Armed Forces and every visitor who attended.
