A convoy of pink tractors is once again getting ready to paint the countryside pink.
The Pink Ladies’ Tractor Road Run returns on Sunday, July 5, with more than 180 women set to drive 195 decorated tractors along a 20-mile route through south Norfolk and north Suffolk to raise funds for Cancer Research UK’s breast cancer appeal.
Now in its 22nd year, the event has raised £1.36 million since it began in 2004.
Annie Chapman, organiser of the run, said: "What an amazing achievement for a bunch of ladies on tractors, to have raised over £1 million in 21 years for breast cancer research.
"This year, we have £1.5 million in our sights and, with a huge effort from everyone involved, we really can achieve it."
The convoy will start at Thorpe Abbotts Airfield and travel through Brockdish and Upper Weybread, reaching Harleston around 12.30pm.
Drivers will then stop for lunch at Gawdy Hall Meadow in Redenhall before continuing through Pulham St Mary, Rushall, and Langmere Green, finishing back at Thorpe Abbotts Airfield.
