An initiative involving women in shaping Norfolk's health services has been shortlisted for a regional award.
The Community Voices: Women’s Health partnership, led by Norfolk Community Foundation, is a finalist in the Partnership with People and Communities Award at the Norfolk and Suffolk Health and Care Awards 2026.
The project has involved various charities, health organisations, and grassroots groups in Norfolk and Waveney, focusing on women whose voices are often overlooked.
Through workshops, community research and local engagement, the partnership has helped identify gaps in support and is working with health services to design improvements based on real-life experiences.
Megan Pay from the Norfolk Community Foundation expressed delight at the recognition, stating the work is centred on women sharing their experiences.
She highlighted the collaborative effort between local charities, health partners, and communities in not only identifying areas for improvement but also in redesigning services.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Health Awards celebrate innovation and partnership across the region. Winners will be announced by wildlife presenter Michaela Strachan on July 3 at Rowley Mile Racecourse in Newmarket.
