The owners of a restaurant say they are "awed" after winning a top award just nine months after opening.
Gozo, in St Gregory's Alley, has been named the Best Restaurant in Norfolk in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2026.
The Norwich Lanes eatery, which opened at the end of September, has quickly become a favourite with food lovers in the city.
Vlad Vamesu and Ricardo Leguia, who run the site, said: "We're awed and delighted to have been named Best Restaurant by Muddy Stilettos, only nine months after opening our doors in the Lanes.
"Since day one, Norwich has shown us incredible support and this award belongs just as much to our customers as it does to the team working behind the scenes every day.
"Thank you Norwich, for all the times you braved the risk of the Gozo walk-in, for making our Meltdown burger go viral and for adopting us as one of your own."
Gozo is best known for its burger menu, including the popular Meltdown—a 200g beef patty with crispy bacon, caramelised onions, chives and burger sauce, which is served cut in half and surrounded by a rich pool of cheese sauce.
