A moped rider lay injured in the road amid heavy rain after a crash that saw another driver be arrested.
The collision between a car and a moped happened at 7.19pm on Wednesday, June 3 in Dereham Road at its junction with Helena Road in Norwich.
An eyewitness described how paramedics treated a man, who is understood to have been flung from his moped, on the road at about 7.50pm while heavy rain poured down.
A crowd gathered around the scene, and the crash left debris, as well as what is understood to be the rider's helmet, scattered across the road.
Emergency services closed a stretch of Dereham Road from Bowthorpe Road to Nelson Road for some time while they attended.
The moped rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police then arrested the driver of the car at the scene on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has since been released on bail until July 20.
A police spokeswoman has confirmed that investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
