A teenage boy has died after being found unresponsive at a home in a village near the city.

Police were called to reports of a medical episode at a property on Heath Close in Horsford on Wednesday (June 3) at 4.37pm.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said: "Air ambulance took the boy for treatment at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, but he was sadly pronounced deceased last night.

"His next of kin has been informed."

The death is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious. No other details have been provided at this time.

A file is being prepared for the coroner.
