A town's cinema was forced to close after the lobby area was "substantially flooded".
East Coast Cinema in Lowestoft had to shut its doors on Tuesday night after heavy rain gushed into the front area of the cinema, leaving staff no choice but to turn customers away.
A spokesman for the cinema said: "Yesterday evening, with the surprising deluge of rain combined with what appears to be poor management of the surface water drains, caused substantial flooding to our front lobby area."
Due to the amount of water, the team made the decision to close early and put up their front flood barriers.
People living behind the cinema in St John's Road came together to help find a blockage in the drains to ease the problem, which was later fixed.
A spokesman for the cinema added: "We are very sorry to all those who were disappointed last night."
The cinema was open as usual on Wednesday.
