New Butcher Bhoy venue takes shape in former BrewDog site

Butcher Bhoy, currently located in Exchange Street, is moving to Queen Street.

Owner Marcus Pearcey has not confirmed an exact date for the opening of the new venue.

Mr Pearcey did say, however, that he hopes to open in time for the upcoming World Cup which starts on June 11.

The soon-to-be former Butcher Bhoy site is set to become a Mexican restaurant.

The popular bar is moving into the former BrewDog unit opposite Mr Pearcey's existing venue, Kerry's.

A stage has been built in the middle of the bar for live music performances.

In a video announcing the move, Mr Pearcey said: "We love Norwich, I'm so proud to announce that we are going to bring the very first pub I ever had, the Butcher Bhoy and give it this amazing platform to re-engineer itself on one of the busiest streets in Norwich opposite our other main bar, Kerry's."
