Reduced speed limits are about to come into effect on a number of roads around a Norfolk village.
The lowered limits on roads around Bressingham and Bressingham Common will be introduced from Monday.
Norfolk County Council is bringing in new orders to extend an existing 30mph speed limit on High Road / Bressingham Road.
It means the limit will be cut to 30mph on sections of those roads where the limit is currently 40mph.
Changes will also be made to the west of Bressingham, where the speed limit on a section of Fersfield Road will be reduced from the national 60mph speed limit to 40mph.
Bressingham and Fersfield Parish Council has long campaigned for speed limits to be reduced in the area.
A proposal for lower limits, which the parish council submitted to Norfolk County Council in 2023, stated: "The speed limits in force throughout the parish are not only inappropriate for current use and infrastructure, but also incapable of supporting the speeds that they allow, putting road users of all kinds at risk."
