The deadline for registering for this year's Beccles Carnival royalty is looming.
Those eager to participate have until Friday, May 22 at 5pm to pre-register, with the Carnival Committee reminding hopefuls that applications will not be accepted on the day.
Children aged between eight and 14 running for the Prince and Princess titles not only have the potential to raise funds for their club, organisation, or project, but also stand a chance to shine in front of many spectators.
All Prince and Princess participants must live in Beccles or within 12 miles, or be students at any Beccles school.
Miss Beccles, the title up for grabs for women aged 17 to 45, is also open to applicants who live within 12 miles of Beccles, or work in Beccles.
Carnival Royalty will represent Beccles for the entire year of 2026.
A chance at the selection afternoon, which will be held on Sunday, May 24 at Hungate Hall, awaits all successful applicants, who must be present to qualify.
Entrants are required to pre-register online using a registration link provided by the Carnival Committee.
