A revamped playground is bringing new fun to breaktimes thanks to a school’s community connections.
St Faiths’ Church of England Primary School in Horsham St Faith received a playground makeover from Norfolk-based Abel Homes after teachers appealed for help.
The company patched and repaired the tarmac surface, repainted ball courts and a hopscotch grid, and created a brand-new alphabet-based educational game.
Katherine Wilson, head of school, said: "Our playground was very well used and needed some repairs and revitalising.
"We are extremely grateful to Abel Homes for volunteering to undertake the work, as well as creating new games painted on the tarmac for the children to enjoy."
Paul LeGrice, managing director of Abel Homes, said: "We are a local firm which always tries to improve the communities where we are building new homes.
"We have a track record of working alongside schools and other community projects to try to enhance the lives of the people living in the places where we are working."
