A pub that opened an on-site shop following the closure of the village's only store has got off to a busy start with "lots of community support".
The Chequers Inn in Binham launched a shop service on April 4 after Howell's Superstore closed its doors for the final time following a century in business.
Landlords Sarah Day, 56, and her brother Simon Carter, 54, decided to embark on their new venture to give back to the community, and so far, they have received "really good support".

“The daily essentials are really popular and we have taken lots of requests to stock even more products,” she said.
"New customers are also really pleased with the late opening hours as it just gives everyone a chance to pick up essentials like their bread and butter when they need.”

The store, located in the gallery space in the pub, offers fresh produce from local suppliers, including eggs, bread, milk, cheese, fruit and vegetables, as well as other products.
It is open daily from 8am until the last orders at the bar.
