A new coffee van serving brews, matchas and mini pancakes has hit the ground running.

LAVNDR is the new business of Blofield mum Carly Desi, who was inspired to renovate a caravan after standing on the side of freezing football pitches while watching her children play every weekend, craving a hot drink.

Since launching at the end of November, her popularity has grown, and customers have sought out her signature lavender matchas, local coffee blend and mini pancakes from across Norfolk.

"LAVNDR has gone even better than we could have ever hoped," Ms Desi reflected.

"It hasn't been straightforward, but it has been worth it for sure.

"If it is doing this well in the quiet season, then we can definitely see its potential for growth."

Since launching, LAVNDR has popped up at Norwich Camping and Leisure in Blofield, Black Barn Farm in Salhouse and Norfolk Lavender in Heacham, with plenty of future events already lined up.

This is a weekend passion project for Ms Desi, who works elsewhere during the week, but one that has proven worthwhile.

"We have had lots of compliments about our coffee, which was my priority," Ms Desi said.

"We use a special Butterworths blend in our drinks, which is a local brand.

"We also have matcha, and lots of people have tried it - one customer said it was the best he had ever had!

"As our name is LAVNDR, we have a signature special with lavender syrup and a purple cold foam on top.

"It is surprisingly delicious."

Those looking for a snack can indulge in the mini pancakes, with a range of different toppings to choose from.

On April 18, customers will be able to find LAVNDR at Norwich Camping and Leisure and at Black Barn Farm on April 26.
