A disgraced headteacher who was jailed for stalking a young female colleague has been banned from running schools.
Education secretary Bridget Phillipson said Gregory Hill's convictions and conduct made him "unsuitable" to run a school or serve as the governor of one.
Her ruling added: "He has also engaged in relevant conduct, including failing to follow statutory safeguarding procedures and creating an unsafe environment for children and staff.
"In the opinion of the secretary of state, these relevant convictions and this relevant conduct make Mr Hill unsuitable to take part in the management of an independent school."
The ruling also applies to state schools.
Hill, who had previously been the head of Howard Junior School in King's Lynn for 16 years, was jailed for 20 weeks in August 2024 after he was convicted of harassing a female colleague in her early 20s.
The then 48-year-old was also given a stalking protection order banning him from posting pictures of the the woman, who he become obsessed with after she spurned his advances, on social media.
In January, 2025, Hill was jailed again for six months after he admitted breaching a restraining order by posting images of his victim on Facebook just days after being released from jail.
Hill of Valley Way, Fakenham, was arrested in front of parents and pupils at the school in March 2023.
He kicked, screamed and struggled with police for 30 minutes before being taken away for questioning.
A damming Ofsted report days later rated the school "inadequate" and said it had “serious failings” which had been left “unchallenged for too long”.
Hill was also chief executive of the Apollo Academies Trust which ran the school until it was taken over by another trust after his arrest.
Hill was added to the Department for Education's list of people barred from running schools on Monday, April 13.
He has three months from the date to appeal against the ruling.
