A major DIY chain that is closing a string of locations across the country has revealed it will only shut one of its seven Norfolk stores.
Topps Tiles announced earlier this month that it is shutting 23 of its shops, 7pc of its 319-strong estate, in an effort to slash costs as part of "significant self-help measures".
Bosses said the stores are under-performing, with eight already closed since last September and the remainder set to shut over the next six months.
Topps Tiles currently runs seven stores in Norfolk - in Norwich's Mile Cross, Norwich's Hall Road, Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Thetford and King's Lynn.
Earlier this year, the retailer confirmed it would close its Great Yarmouth store this May.
But a spokesman for the firm has since confirmed that "none of the other stores [in Norfolk] will be closing as part of this programme".
Topps Tiles chief executive Alex Jensen previously said: "In light of subdued consumer sentiment and geopolitical uncertainty as well as the cumulative impact of cost inflation, the management team is implementing a targeted programme of self-help measures weighted towards the second half.
"These actions are designed to support year-on-year profit growth and provide a stronger financial platform for 2027 and beyond."
