From spring markets to vintage fairs, Norfolk is filled with plenty of big events for people to browse and find a bargain.
Here are some of the biggest events taking place across the county in April and May.
1. Norfolk Artisan Fair in Spring
Where: Fakenham Racecourse, Fakenham, NR21 7NY
When: April 18 and 19
Cost: £5
More than 100 stalls will take over Fakenham Racecourse between 9.30am to 4pm to showcase the best that Norfolk has to offer.
The event draws thousands of people to the town and is organised by Mark and Meryl Raines of MJR Events.
Exhibitors include jewellers, artists, street food vendors and liquor creators.
The Norfolk Artisan Fair first launched in 2021 and runs twice a year, with a Christmas market sister event that is just as popular.
2. Creake Abbey Spring Gift Fair
Where: Creake Abbey, Creake Road, Fakenham, NR21 9LF
When: April 11
Cost: Free entry and parking
The Creake Abbey Spring Gift Fair will take over the site near Burnham Market, featuring around 90 small businesses to browse at both outdoor and indoor stalls.
Between 10am and 4pm, shoppers will be able to browse a range of metal garden sculptures, artisan jewellery, handmade soaps, soft furnishing, prints and lamps.
Clothes, accessories, pet products and plants will also be on sale.
Around 20 artisan food stalls will be at the event, selling everything from small batch beers to honey, cakes and fudge.
3. Spring Makers' Market
Where: The Forum, Millennium Plain, Norwich, NR2 1TF
When: April 25
Cost: Free entry
A curated collection of more than 80 small businesses will head to The Forum for a special makers' market.
Organised by Local Makers' Market, the event will take place both inside and outside the venue with handmade ceramics, jewellery, prints, fashion, art, skincare and candles among the items available to buy.
The event will run from 10am to 4pm.
4. Little Vintage Lover Fair
Where: Mannington Hall, Norwich, NR11 7BB
When: May 10
Cost: £5
The first Little Vintage Lover event of the year will take place at the picturesque Mannington Estate, just north of Aylsham.
From 10am to 4pm, people can partake in some vintage shopping, with more than 50 dealers to browse, offering a fine selection of treasures, ranging from clothing, accessories and homewares to salvage, curiosities and eclectic finds from the 1920s to the 1980s.
Mannington’s Garden Cafe will be open for refreshments, alongside some street food vendors.
5. Holt Sunday Market
Where: Holt, NR25 6BE
When: May 3
Cost: Free entry
This year, the Holt Sunday Market has 80 regional makers, 12 street food traders, 30 food and drink businesses, a communal dining area and buskers.
The event aims to spotlight a curated collection of fledgling and established designers and makers from Norfolk and nearby.
Several shops are part of the Holt Sunday Market Rewards Club Scheme, offering loyal shoppers discounts and deals over the course of the event.
