Costa Coffee opens new café and drive-through in Norwich

The branch is located in the Broadway Enterprise Park near the NDR in Hellesdon and served customers for the first time on Thursday morning.

The site has both indoor and outdoor seating and has created 18 new jobs.

"Opening our 400th UK drive-through is an exciting milestone for Costa Coffee and we're thrilled to celebrate it in Norwich," Corne Veldtman, area manager at Costa Coffee, said.

"This new store allows us to bring our handcrafted coffee even closer to the local community, whether people are starting their day early, grabbing a coffee on the go or enjoying their coffee rituals in-store."

Last year, Costa’s customer data showed that people in Norwich ordered more than 400,000 lattes, making it the city's most-loved coffee.

Jerome Mayhew, MP for Broadland and Fakenham, welcomed the addition.

"I welcome new investment in the Broadland area, especially with a milestone store such as Costa Coffee’s 400th UK drive‑through," he said.

"Openings like this bring valuable jobs to the area and provide another boost to our local economy."
