Drivers are facing long delays on a stretch of the A47 near Norwich.
A crash between Postwick and Trowse has resulted in "standstill" traffic on the carriageway, according to commuters.
The AA Traffic Map is currently reporting that the road is partially blocked and there are queues in both directions.
The exact nature of the crash or any injuries sustained is currently not known.
Norfolk Constabulary has been contacted for comment.
It comes in the same morning that a newly dualled section of the road opened between Blofield and North Burlingham.
Traffic in the area has since cleared.
