A newly dualled section of the A47 has opened to motorists for the first time.
The £100m section of road between North Burlingham and Blofield welcomed road users for the first time this morning.
Many early morning commuters had reported delays to the opening with large queues heading towards both Acle and westbound to Norwich.
However, after a short delay, drivers were able to make use of the new section of road.
The new section lasts for 2.6 miles.
While the whole scheme is still a few weeks away from completion, traffic will be switched to the new section now, while work on the existing A47 continues.
Along with the dualling, the project includes safety improvements to the Yarmouth Road junction at Blofield.
A bridge is being built over the new dual carriageway to connect the villages of Blofield and North Burlingham, and take traffic from Blofield toward Great Yarmouth.
A new two-tier junction is also being made to connect the B1140 South Walsham Road, north of the A47, with the B1140 Coxhill Road, south of the A47.
