A popular fast food chain that has been a staple of King's Lynn for decades has been forced to close.
Wimpy, on the corner of High Street and New Conduit Street, did not open for business on Wednesday.
It comes after the restaurant was hit with a repossession notice by the landlord of the building.
A letter from South East Reinforcement has been slapped on the windows and doors.
It reads: "The landlord has this day re-entered these premises. The landlord is entitled to repossess and has now exercised their right under law."
A separate letter has ordered the restaurant to collect items such as furniture and cooking equipment before February 3.
If Wimpy does not take action before this date, the items will be sold on.
A spokeswoman for Wimpy said the chain is unable to comment on the repossession notice "due to ongoing legal proceedings".
"We are sorry to confirm that our Wimpy Kings Lynn restaurant is currently closed and would like to apologise to our many Wimpy fans in the town," she added.
"We very much hope that a solution will be found and we can once again welcome customers back through the doors very soon."
In the 1970s, Wimpy was based in a pyramid-shaped building further down the road at the current site of Vancouver Quarter.
But the eye-catching restaurant closed during the chain's 50th birthday year in 2004, when it was bulldozed to make way for the new shopping centre.
