A person has died after being hit by a train on the Norwich to London line.
It happened at Ingatestone railway station just before 12pm.
Emergency services and Network Rail staff were at the scene of the incident.
Greater Anglia said trains between Norwich and Stratford may be cancelled, delayed, or revised, but the line is now open.
A spokesman for Greater Anglia said: "Disruption is expected until 4pm.
"Advance purchase ticket holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled."
The British Transport Police have confirmed that the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Ingatestone railway station at 11.48am today following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
