A King’s Lynn teacher has taken part in an exhibition alongside Banksy and some of the biggest names in street art.
Lee Eveson, head of art at Springwood High School, was invited to showcase his work at Banksy to Bitcoin, a major exhibition at the Undercroft Gallery in Norwich which featured more than 150 original pieces.
Artists included Ben Eine, Shepard Fairey, DFace, Ralph Steadman and Banksy, alongside Mr Eveson, who works under the name EVES.
Mr Eveson exhibited three mixed-media paintings titled Why, Shelter and NOT 3, which were displayed next to pieces such as Banksy’s Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem and items from his Dismaland installation.
He said: “The show was one big highlight. It was the largest collection of contemporary street art that I had ever seen… I was especially pleased to have my work next to DFace, one of my favourite street artists for years.”
Mr Eveson added that he hopes his success outside the classroom will inspire his students to pursue their own creative ambitions.
