The Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Rev Graham James, led a special service in a mid Norfolk church to mark the rededication of re-hung bells.
A new memorial garden has also been opened in the village at the weekend.
The service for the bells at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Barnham Broom on Sunday was one of Bishop Graham's last events before retirement.
He was joined by Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk Richard Jewson and Charles Watt, the High Sheriff of Norfolk.
A congregation of around 250 attended the service to mark the rededication.
The church bell project started four years ago in an effort to allow the five bells, which had previously been silent, to ring out in 2018 to remember the men from the village who fought in the First World War.
A programme of fundraising, which included a golf day which raised £12,000, and generous donations from the Norwich Town Close Estate Charity and the National Lottery brought the project to fruition.
The new Barnham Broom bell ringers rang the bells during the service and a choir and handchime group from Barnham Broom C of E Primary School were also part of the service.
The 1st Barnham Broom Brownies also helped serve refreshments afterwards.
After the service, the Bishop presented many of the new bell ringers with their level 1 bell handling certificates and one ringer with her level two certificate.
The Bishop also joined in the open ringing in the tower afterwards.
A new memorial garden to remember those who fought in the First World War was also opened in Barnham Broom on Saturday October 13.
The garden, located next to the Barnham Broom Village Hall, was also attended by Lord Lieutenant Richard Jewson and a short service was held.
The Women's Institute provided cakes and refreshments and representatives from local businesses who helped fund the garden were also be present.
